for the love of trees...

I feel so sad when a tree is cut down...even if it is near power lines...Surely there is no need to cut the tree right back to earth level as happened to 2 trees in my street this morning...

secondhand books + reading...

My kinda space in heaven...a Berkelouw kinda vibe...
'Secondhand books are wild books, homeless books; they have come together in vast flocks of variegated feather, and have a charm which the domesticated volumes of the library lack.'

Yesterday= my first 'nothing' day after returning home from the last hospital round.
Heat flattened me. Felt guilty...I should have been doing more gardening now all the boxes are unpacked, but couldn't face it.
I read instead.
Today seems to be evolving in much the same way...
