Confronting! Some may deny, yet subconsciously may have absorbed an opinion/ quote as their own. I avoid established stables of creative art (e.g. art workshops) as best I can to minimise this possibility. But we're a mix of our physical and mental environment, like it or not.

to some extent, we are other people...
the 'how' in teaching...
As a secondary teacher, (now retired), I used to do exactly this. Teaching's not all about content but must include the 'how' of presentation, to engage an audience. The 'how' needs some reality. Strange that gathering the 'how' often takes far longer than gathering the content.
