Chat GPT reflected on my meanderings in 2025. Love it! You spun gold from Temora’s bright ground— Each haiku a shimmer, profound. With canola and sky, Your year dared to try— Where art, word, and heart intertwined, unbound. P.S. NO! I did not copy from Chat GPT. It spun ideas for me only.

Temora = Wiradjuri land. But a German first chose the site of Temora (although the town has a name of Irish derivation); another German laid out the township.

sunny Sunday morning walk...
Enjoyed an early, sunny Sunday morning walk after rain...Older style homes seemed to glow with character. One home is very different. It's a bright-eyed green with a 'skeleton' relaxing in the front garden seat..

rainy day meanderings...
Restless night last night...It could be the rain on the tin roof...first heavy, endless rain I have heard here in Temora...But it could be my fears on the rise...the flurry of a wedding this weekend (my daughter's husband's son) + my daughter's house loaded with more people...I have never met my daughter's ageing father-in-law...He was the first to arrive from the NSW mid-coast yesterday...Later today, a grandson from Wollongong arrives with his partner...That means 8 people in total here...so far...Tomorrow, a campervan arrives with 2 more people...Thankfully, not long after the latter arrives, I am leaving for Cootamundra to stay 2 nights in an air bnb...My bed here is needed for more visitors...
Having spent 2 years living alone after tragedy and trauma + moving interstate + retirement beginning, I'm feeling very fragile, spun into some kind of culture shock...People + noisy chatter + to-ing and fro-ing feel like an invasion I can't escape...
I keep telling myself to be grateful that my daughter is giving me shelter, feeding me...I have a cosy room + TV + internet access...I have no regular utility bills for now...This arrangement will only last till about July when my daughter's new home is complete and I take over this rental...
This country town is so appealing...I do love it...But for now, my own personal circumstances need a little time to evolve and settle...
So here I am, spilling my soul...hoping that voicing my fears eases my pressures...
And still it rains...
