Temora building styles...old and new...

Love this wrap-around sign on the Temora Memorial Hall...
Tree shadows add some extra art...
The hall was opened in 1956.
It is a memorial to those who served in the armed forces in World War II.
The police station is opposite the hall, hence the Anzac Day parade yesterday started outside the police station and swung round the memorial hall to Callaghan Park...

The beautiful Diamonds and Dust shop finds its home in this building, a Temora icon...one of the first traders in Temora...
It is about the size of a football field...

The Shamrock Hotel was built in the late 1880's...
It is affectionately known as The Shammy...

Originally, another general store in Temora...

NRCC House is home to Temora Library and Pinnacle Community Services...
It is alongside Temora Medical Complex which was opened November 23, 2012...

thoughts for the week...building styles...

This week, I plan on exploring the building styles in Temora main street...So many are enchanting, re-purposed, a history-friendly make-over or brand new...Somehow they all blend together either side of the wide main street...

Here are a few I saw on my first wander...an entree...

Loved the coloured roof tiles on this one...

Temora Hotel...where I had my first dinner out with family...
Loved the window styles inside Temora Hotel...

Melzer House style intrigued me...
You can just see the Sass sign on the street window...a hairdresser, where I will be getting my hair trimmed and blond streaked...
