street birds...

One of several feathered street characters being elusive today...
Only managed to capture a few brief moments in between leaves...
It seemed as if these pied currawongs were having some kind of tree party...
Sun shining and not quite so cold a winter's day...

Celebrate with friends?...
(This is one of the rare moments when I have seen pied currawongs together...They are usually alone...
There were 3 in this group...)

Sharing party food?

Let's find some more...

One looked as if he was letting digestion juices do their duty before moving on...

feathered characters at Ardlethan...

When I visited Ardlethan in the Coolamon Shire yesterday, I was delighted to find a few feathered characters by the waters of Mirrool Creek...

I tried to have a chat with them...

One was sleeping...

One was reaching for some higher thoughts...

One was scrounging around...

And one was just being...

birds on the wire but one aims higher...

It was meant to be a drive to Ariah Park morning...
But I took a detour...
Birds on the wire stalled my plans and I enjoyed it...
The one above claimed the high point...

The above high point was not quite high enough for him...

Meanwhile, back on the wire, a lot of grooming detail needed attention...

One, in particular, seemed to indulge in grooming contortions...

The other one made a little effort to groom...just a little...

But there was the odd moment for reflection...

Meanwhile, the world below walked on...oblivious...
