Just love snuggling into the sheltering shadows of a big tree on a bright sunny day...

Temora = Wiradjuri land. But a German first chose the site of Temora (although the town has a name of Irish derivation); another German laid out the township.

Temora Anzac Day...
Today, I attended the most magical Anzac Day ceremony I have ever experienced...in Temora...
Temora schools lined up behind veterans and marched a short distance to leafy Callaghan Park, one and a half blocks from the main street...
(Sadly, the usual band had been struck with covid cases, but still, the parade went on)...
The main ceremony was conducted in the park...
Well-placed speakers created a wonderful surround sound - especially for the organ keyboard sounds of The Recessional and the piano keyboard sounds of Abide With Me...
(The Recessional was played during the laying of wreaths by all Temora schools and community groups)...
Most Temora citizens walked to the ceremony...as did we...(no mass gathering of cars)...
It was all very moving on a sun-filled day with many sheltering trees in the park...
Perhaps, the most stirring experience for me happened right at the end...
The keyboard pianist played a long medley of war songs as people chatted or very slowly drifted away from the park...
The first song was White Cliffs of Dover and the second was We'll Meet Again...
By this stage, I struggled to keep back tears...
Here are a few photos from the experience...
A highway police patrol car led the way...
Veterans or representatives...
