P.S. I've just read some reviews-rating this drama in terms of acting (positive+negative), story line (interesting/fractured)+theme/s (traditional?). None draw attention to filming techniques, a vital contributor to extra sensory perceptions of the film.

Silent dialogue matters.
Temora = Wiradjuri land. But a German first chose the site of Temora (although the town has a name of Irish derivation); another German laid out the township.

Finally, this patch of land offers a key to some of its mysteries...
Slowly, the key turns...and a door opens...
There's a sharing of ideas...
There are enigmatic zoom ins...
and zoom outs...
There are transfers of information...
There are lone times...
There are times when it is best to just keep playing the game...
This drama is a refreshing experience....challenging traditional expectations of how a film should progress to satisfy audience appeal...
This film dares the viewer to try new tastes for all the senses...
A beautiful new film world is rising...

SBS - 'True Colours' - Episode 3...
Episode 3 of 'True Colours' slowly reeled in more layered mystery...
Still moments, as per the one above, were quite chilling...a dramatically tantalising feast of questions...
or an unsettled moment when lone thoughts brewed a new menu of questions...
The brief interludes of subtle, creative filming - either zoomed in...
or zoomed out...continued to weave a tapestry of visual delight around the storyline...
and then...this moment...this larger-than-life question...

SBS - 'True Colours' - Episode 2...
I am so loving the SBS screening of the 4 part drama 'True Colours'...
(More details on the creating of the film HERE)...
Watched Episode 2 last night, and I remain enchanted, even mesmerised with the filming, the acting and storyline...
I would definitely rank it in the masterclass category of breaking new ground in film production...
This is a beautifully paced, creative film noir, the likes of which I have never seen...
Kudos SBS and NITV 🙏...

first thoughts on 'True Colours'...
PASSING THOUGHT: Just watched Episode 1 of 'True Colours' on SBS. Stunning all round - storyline+acting+filming. I've never seen any production like this. It breaks new ground mixing film noir mystery, heritage+cross cultures. Even the landscape plays cameo roles. Mesmerising.💕
